BIT Inspections

BIT Inspections

The law in the State of California (and in many other jurisdictions) requires a highway patrol /DOT inspection of a trucking terminal every two years. Known as a “biennial inspection of terminals” (or better known as a BIT inspection), a negative report can have devastating impact on an organization – particularly with the new emphasis on civil litigation versus traditional fines.

The Pacific Coast Motor Carrier Safety Institute offers a complete pre-BIT inspection service for your trucking terminal operation. Our team will do a mock inspection and issue a report to you, so you can fix the discrepancies. We make no warranty that you will pass; however, no client who has corrected the reported discrepancies has failed to receive a satisfactory passing score.

In the event you have received an unsatisfactory score or failure prior to engaging us, our team can provide remediation services during your 90-day re-test period.

Visit our dedicated BIT Inspection website at BITInspections.com – click here now to visit for more detail on our entire range of BIT and DOT Inspection services.

There is no sure thing in life, other than preparation. So make sure your trucking terminal is prepared for its in-depth review every two years by choosing the Institute to pre-judge every aspect of your operation to ensure compliance with state and federal transportation laws.

The Institute also offers monthly retainer services to help ensure ongoing compliance.

The Institute can also prepare your organization to deal with the new Federal CSA 2010 (Comprehensive Safety Analysis) data collection and fine system.
